About Us
Welcome to the Spirit Mountain Amateur Radio Club!
Our group started as what could be considered a glimpse at an opportunity to grow the area of Bullhead City, AZ and surrounding areas to what might be the best amateur radio club in Arizona! We pride ourselves in being the only highly active club in the area that engages with the community and loves to spend time working together for the greater good of amateur radio. We love doing POTA/SOTA activations, chasing DX, building antennas with friends, and more!
It all started with our club president WB7N chatting with hams in the Bullhead City area who mentioned they would love to have an active club that meets regularly and enjoys playing radio in each other's kind company. This all led to some planning of the first meeting, and the Spirit Mountain Amateur Radio Club was born! Not more than 2 days after the first meeting, the FCC issued the club the callsign KK7LXO, and not long after the initial license issuance, we applied for many different vanity callsigns, of which we were issued KS7MC. Our largest goal right now is growth of the club and getting together to play radio and eat some BBQ! We care about each other and want the best for everyone.
We, as a club, are a member of the Amateur Radio Council of Arizona (ARCA) and are also an ARRL affiliated club. As we get through the process of getting this club up and running, we would love to have new hams join and become a part of this beautiful vision.
